I have a 3 million candle power spotlight that I will be using this weekend when we run lines. I currently do not own a battery charger so Im lookin for the cheapest battery that will keep this light going strong all weekend. Thanks for any feedback. I really appreciate the wealth of fishing knowledge I recieve off this site along with the timely responses. You guys rock.

A rechargeable spot light will probably cost you less than a battery would. Too, some models have both a 12v and 120v chargers.

I bought one made by black & decker at lowes for $29. It's rechargable with 115V, I believe it's 2,000,000 candlewatt and it will also run and recharge on 12V from a battery. It came with a cigarette lighter plug on it so if you don't have a pwr outlet you would have to by an adapter w/clips. It will dang near blind ya. thumb

Never really timed it. I usually use it in short bursts. Anything that bright will drain the battery pretty quickly when used for prolonged periods. I got it because I can plug it into my cranking or TM battery when it dies and keep on using it. It's built pretty rugged and it also has a pair of led's built into the handle you can use to see things inside your boat without using the spot. thumb
