Anyone on the forum do any catfishing in Amistad? I have fished it quite alot but for LMB's only. I would like to get the grandkids onto some catfish if anyone has any tips or advice about catfishing "big friendly" I would appreciate it very much. Thanks!

I have the best luck on the Iland straight out from black brush, and also castle canyon. And if the wind is up. Go into twin canyon to the first jug.

lsoles - Thanks! What has produced as far as baits for you? I'll try baiting with range cubes. Back in a previous life before chasing the green trout range cubes worked well for me in bringing the channel cats in close but, I've never tried it in Amistad.

I use punch bait and sour grain as chum. I will try the range cubes 1st chance. the fish at castle canyon are baited in nearly 100' water. baited often and bite year round. Off the island fish in about 6'-9'.
