Me and my buddy went out today and we got skunked! We fished everywhere and we fished everything, where are the FISH? Any suggestions would be great, now I'm not trying to take anybodys honeyhole or anything just a little nudge in the right direction. Thanks Guys.

Something must be wrong or something has seriously changed for the worse. The last few weeks, up until even Monday, you could just about go anywhere and throw just about anything and at least catch some swimmers. Only time you have to concentrate was going for overs. Try speeding up and covering water with a crank or blade. They may have have concentrated up near the main lake or gone deep with all the boat traffic.

Seriously Joe B? Where, When, How and Why? Man that is awesome I would love to find fish like that on the vine I know that they're there I just don't have any idea where. I do think that maybe the added boat traffic had a lot to do with it and it was pretty crowded today too.

Hit Twin Coves this morning in the kayak. Caught half-a-dozen largemoutn on topwater and crankbait, best two went about 16 inches. Best fish of the day was a gar on a topwater that went over 20 inches.

Over 24#'s won out there today and over 17# was second. I would say the fishing seems pretty good right now. Throw a crankbait and they will wear you out.

Joe B,
You caught a 17# pounder on the vine?
I've seen some 9's and 10's come out of there but a 17? actually two 17's?
good work

17.5 inches, i.e. just in the slot.
17.5 lbs out of the 'vine would cause quite the stir...dave short might move back for that. lol
