Considering one of these. Wanting feedback from some owners of the G-3. Am comparing the G3 to the Tracker 17.

Thanks, GB

I've had a few boats in my lifetime, sketter etc:
Just got me a f172 g3 and I love it!! Its got all I need and much more. Its a 2008 model with a 115 yam four stroke. I can run four lakes before I need fuel again. The deep v provides a smooth ride and wont drown you on a semi windy day. I priced alot of other brands before I got this one, and its the best bang for the buck to me.

from what i understand, G3 is made by the same company that skeeter is, so i would say it's a good aluminum boat, looked at getting one myself

bought a 1654 gator tuff g3 last year, only comlaint is
I should have got the 17ft tunnel hull. I am TUFF on boats and have had zero issues, use it year round ,duck hunt, fish, bow fish.
mine is a flatter hull and rides a lilrougher than the V or Semi V but still ok.

the first one had a small leak between the hull and live well, when i took it backit was going to have to go back to thew factory for repairs so they gave me a whole new rig instead of making mewait for repair.

Thsnks for the replies. I am considering a G3 hp 17. I was wondering if the decks on these boats are of marine plywood like the bass trackers.

Thanks, gb

I also have a 2001 G3 HP 180. Overall, I have been happy with the boat. Although there were some "issues" when I first bought it new. Mainly with the boat and motor not set up correctly. After the dealer corrected that I have had no problems. I have a friend of mine who has a 19 foot Xpress, and I have to say the next one I buy will be a Xpress. The difference in the ride between the 2 is amazing.
