Anyone want to go down there for a session this evening? Feel like fishing ultralight for some carp. I can bring sweet corn.

It's in Carrollton, next to the Josey Ranch lake library. Has some decent carp in there and supposedly a few mirrors. A few massive channels as well.

I fished there last night for about 3 hours and didn't get a single bite. Hopefully, if you go, you will have better luck! Let us know how you do!

Opted out since nobody was interested. Going fishing for green trash fish at the castle hills pond since it is closer now.

The water at Josey was really warm and it isn't very deep (around 4-6 feet) so I imagine fishing will probably be pretty slow there until fall rolls around.

The deepest area is right in front of and slightly to the left and right of the end of the dock if memory serves me. I remember from when they drained it 3/4 down a few years back.

I grew up fishin' that pond and the creek behind it.....it gets very warm in the summer and very cold in the winter. What you must do is chum with something that stirs the water, but doesn't feed 'em much. Even then, the water is so warm.

I used to catch catfish and bass there though on a regular basis, but the weather extremes can always put a damper on the fishin' there. If we get a good rain, there'll be plenty of water flow in to the pond from storm drainage and they'll livin' up.
