Amistad's grass is coming along slow. The lake is still going down. I jigged about 20 small bass out of the grass, but couldn't find the big ones. We fished the June Summer Team Open, that Angler's Lodge puts on and got 12 place with 3 five lb. fish, caught on 10 inch motoroil power worms and 8 inch sincos rigged wackey.

I recently spent a fews days on the water with Ray Hanselman on Lake Amistad.

The lake is low right now, so the grass is shallower then normal...but the lake is on fire and he is a top notch guide that knows how to put his clients on fish, which he did every day for us.

I've fished all over the US, Mexico, and Central America....and must say that Ray is one of the best guides I have ever fished with.

We caught 75-100 fish each day and the highlight was 16 fish over 4lbs in one day, with the largest almost 7 lbs.

Check out Ray's website at http://www.reelnray.com/ and give him a call at 830-317-9942.

We can't wait to go back for more Amistad fishing with Ray.
