Let me start by saying that shad and perch are my favorite baits to use for catfish. With that said I always have carried DK's just in case and have always caught fish when I have used it. I have not been very happy with the last couple of containers of DK's I have bought and finally ordered Secret 7 on Monday of this week. I got it in the mail Thursday and went out last night to try it. I fished off of a dock for a couple of hours and I caught 10 channels and blues, most in the 1-2 pound range. Not bad. I also used shad and caught 4 on it, the smallest being 3 lbs and the largest was 7.5 lbs. Anyway I will have a nice fish fry for my family on the 4th.I think I will start carring Secret 7 for my JUST IN CASE from now on. Too many of the TFF members were catching fish on this stuff and I'm glad I bought my own.

It will also be in my cat fishing arsenal. I always use chicken liver as my go to bait and will definatly use shad if I can find'em.I went out a few weeks back and tried out secret 7 along with liver and caught my first 4 fish with it. I'm not much of a dip bait person but was suprised how well it stayed on those little furry thangs.

We had some fun catching cats a couple one ponders off the dock with hot dogs, and watching fire works.
