George's in Waco. Great CFS and very cute wait staff. I was there tonight and was very pleased with the onion rings, chicken fried steak, rolls and fried okra...and yes, their waitresses are a treat for the eyes.

I'd rather eat the CFS at Hickory Hollow than at Goodson's and I get BBQ and not the CFS when I go to Hickory Hollow if that tells you anything.
Goodson's is nasty.

Goodson's in Tomball is AWESOME! Love that place. Been living/coaching here for a year and a half now. Eat there regularly. Love Mel's Country Cafe too!

Chicken Fried Snake - It is probably good. The change of post could just be accidental misspelling or like people who run into their garage walls - too many Budweisers.

Hard to beat Mary's out in Strawn. M&M in North Fort Worth is also great.

Heard about the cfs in Strawn months ago and decided to go there last fall. Went out of my way on the way to Midland to try it. Bad deal....it was tastless, greasey and only luke warm. Won't stop there again.

Had one from Dot's Coffee Shop again last night. Still good as it was the last time.
CFS, coleslaw, beans and mashed taters for $7.95. Good, cheap and plenty of grub.

Had a $13 CFS the other day at B.J.'s Brewhouse that was fancy smancy type of thing but wasn't bad. Gravy was good but as for the steak I've had better.

Had Goodsons back in the 80s and thought it was the best. I've had it a few times recently and didn't think it was much. Had Twin Peaks the other day and it is really good. The steak was pounded very flat and the size of a large plate. Only complaint is the vegetables are buried under the steak.
