Fished this morning with Jason Anderson. Good fisherman and a real nice guy to fish with. We fished a few docks early and caught enough Crappie for dinner tonight then decided to see if we could find a few Sandbass & Hybrids.

WOW!

Looks like we found them. Caught over 100 here in an hour.

How many transducers does an SI unit use? I would think 2 in each direction to create the shadowing effect. How complicated is the install?

SI unit has only one transducer. Installation is easy, same as any graph. One sun = one shadow.

Thanks Ernest for a great day on the water. I will tell anyone if you need help learning the SI unit Ernest can teach you! He is a pro at it. We did catch a ton of whites and some nice crappie. Ernest is a fun person to fish with. Thanks again!!

The SI unit can 'save your bacon'....if you learn to use it properly. Last Friday I had a sandbass guide trip and wasn't doing too good (about 12 in the box). Ernest and Jason even called me in on a school they were fishing, but it fizzled out by the time I got there. Then using my SI, I was able to locate a school of big sandys and in an hour we just about limited out.

And Ernest is a pretty good teacher on the SI if you're just learning.
