Well, I stopped by the tackle/taxidermists store yesterday before heading to the little 300acre lake in ky, where I pursue that 10lber that I keep missing by ounces, and I get some bad news. He shows me a frozen bass that was brought in the day before that weighed 12 and some change, from the lake I fish. This is Ky mind you. It just kills me because I didnt even know the guy who brought it in. That means he doesnt fish there much because Im there all the time and I'd know him. I was just sick. The lake also yeilded a 9.10 last night, but luckly she was caught by a friend who released her. For some reason it just makes me sick. It messes with your confidence when you put so much time into a little lake where you know some giants live and other people get em when you dont.

don't worry. you go to hell if you kill a giant fish to get it mounted.

I know they say "There's other fish in the sea" ... But it sure doesn't feel like it sometimes does it?

If that fish was a 12, then I would bet your "10" is still there and more than likely more than that. Your friend proved it with that 9+. No telling what is swimming in there.

I'll second that!

More big fish watch lures go by all the time ... check out some videos. For every ont thay is caught there are 10 still swimming ... you just gotta fool them! Ask the taxidermist what the guy caught the 12 on! Also stick with deep structure this time of years.

300 acres? That's a lot of water - more than enough to support a fair number of giants, really. Keep at it!!!!1
