I went surf fishing today and all i caught was catfish. I was using live croakers. Does any body have any tips on how i could catch better fish?

less weight more natural presentation, depends on what you're fishing for i guess... sharks and gaftop and stingray, just throw some bait on there and wait, more of the game fish species will like a heavy mono leader and then the traditional surf weight. if you dont mind, then C-rig live bait, or free spool if - you're in the fish, but i dont know, ask the pro who caught all the specks - mr. saunders, haha, good luck
