Some miserable low life, CS, SOB stole the gas out of my neighbors boat, then his jet ski's and then stuffed rags down the gas tank of the jet skis.

My daughter rode my jet ski about 10 days ago and all was fine. When she finished I filled it was gas and oil and thought I was ready for the 4th. Went out this morning and it also had been drained of gas, plus I can only add about a quart of gas at a time so I suspect that it's been tammpered with also.

I don't have any idea who did this but we only see jet skiers and skiboats during the day. The only people out out at night are fishermen. So, I think it has to be a fisherman or some kids that are sneaking around at night. All, I can say is don't get caught by me because I now have a loaded shotgun in my boathouse and will use it at the slightest provocation.

Guess I'm gonna go from the friendliest dock owner on the lake to "The Nastiest old ^&*(^&%^" on EM. Well, at least they didn't steal the trolling motor off my little bass buster---------------yet!

Wow, that really sucks. Sorry to hear that but I think you are jumping to conclusions about it being a fisherman. Why would they put a rag in there? Maybe you could get one of those "grabbers" from a hardware store and get it out that way?

I almost came by this morning to see if you were out, but never made it back to big carter. I got off the lake by 10am.

6am this morning, there were already 3 families out at the picnic tables at shady grove park!

I hate thieves if you ever catch somebody in the act and they take off in their boat give me a call 817-368-2502 if I'm anywhere near the lake I would be glad to come out and try to help you find them. Have you considered booby trapping your dock? Let’s start catching these scum of the Earth individuals and see that they are brought to justice.

I'm with Monte on this one!! Let's set up a sting operation. Leave all your rods I'm your 2 man boat and we can sit and watch it from across the cove. If Monte can't chase em down in that skeeter I sure as hell can. I had my rods stolen out of my boat 2 years ago and would love to catch someone doing this!!!! Texas Husker im sorry this has happened to you,and i truly hope you catch the thieves,however i really dont think it is a fisherman doing this,there is alot more of this going on than people know about because people generally dont say anything in hopes of catching someone doing it,with the price of fuel steadily going up im sure we will all be seeing this more in the future,are boats and personal water craft are easier to remove fuel from then today's vehicles,because todays vehicles have antisiphon devices in them.If yall need help setting up a watch call me 214-538-9071

With gas going up its only going to get worse. I don't understand the idea of the rag in the tank but I've gotten a locking gas cap for my truck. I may have to get one for the boat. I do have a little spring that will only allow a small line to go in the tank.

Sorry for your theft. I hate to think it was boaters but if its out of a boat house then that might be the likely perps. Hope someone finds them.

LOL I love the sugar idea and the sting... Hey I call varmints all the time and thats all these guys are... Grab a spotlight and you have a whole new sport lol... I agrea with Mibass, I've met some jerks who think they own the water cause they own boats and think that jet skis are all bad. thats the only reason I think people might put rags in the tank... trying to disable the jet skis... If I see anybody doing anything like that you can bet ill be making a call to the cops

Im sorry to hear about this. I agree with the sugar added gas atleast when that come's up missing you know you have gotten them. It's a shame a limited few would ruin things for all. I have seen your post before and have had intentions of getting bye and fishing your dock since I know you use to not mind and have stated all the brush you have piled up around there. But along with everything else I just have not made it over to find your spot yet.
Maybe you and your neighbor could hang signs to the tune of. Dont take anything or appear to be snooping around. fish and move on. We have lights on these dock's so better to see you with our scoped deer rifles that shoot thieves better than south texas bucks. If you feel like making headline's try to take from this crime watch neighnborhood. We shoot thieve's onsite never will wait long enough to call cops or ask questions. Maybe just string up the dock with a bunch of razor sharp treble hooks for them to tangle with. I hate thieves.

Maybe a sign in large letters stating "JOE HORN LIVES HERE'

either sugar.. or put a 5 gallon gas tank out there with gas and about 3 cups of sand mixed in it... that will slow em down.. they will steal the gas, put it in their boat/SUV/lawn mower or whatever, and then they will have major problems...

Why put gas in the gas can? just put water in there . that way when they fill up you can find them in the morning paddling home .

well..... seeing that gas has a pretty distinct smell, they might be able to tell the difference...

That's $1500 and Grand Theft! Hang 'em !
