I run a LCX15MT with the 2 chip tray. The chips don't "click in" place but do sit loosely in the tray, contacts on top. If you want, you can have my 15 and I'll take the 27 and figure it out for you. You can have it back in a couple of years  Oh yeah, don't read the manual. I found mine to be horribly incorrect and substantially deficient of useable information.

You lay the chip in upside down and slide the tray in. It doesnt plug in by itself.

I keep the manual in the boat just for "emergency purposes" only.
