Please say hello to Randy McDaniel, new Co-Owner of Sidewinder Rods. I say co-owner because there is a second half to Randy and she adds her skills to the rods herself. Her Name is Dorothy. A little camera shy. Maybe because it was 9 this morning. It was a pleasure to meet her.
I gave Randy my idea of what I wanted and this is what they built for me. 610" MH x-fast. I chose a Tennessee handle because I prefer for my hand to be in front of the reel. Most spinning rods are the opposite. Split grip, style and weight.
And this is what I got. The handle is a bit thicker than most but it feels so good not feeling like I have to wrap my hand around it. EVA is soft and grips very well.
So here it is...Thank you very much Randy and Dorothy, SIDEWINDER RODS!

I think a lot of people over look these made to order rods ,you can get them just how you want and the price is right..
my Sidewinder cost less than a lot of rods on the market..

I think its great to have a company that is willing to design either just one or a whole bunch of rods to our fishing desire!

Evv59,,, Glad to see you still using the TSR rods, my old friend. I am finally going to get to meet Randy and Dorothy next month. Seems we couldn't find a date that we both were free until then.

Texas Sidewinder Rods is a BIG sponsor of the West Texas Team Trail (WTTT) and we can't thank them enough. Everyone that has won a TSR rod at the WTTT drawings has been 100% satisfied.

I still don't know why people buy a rod over the counter when they can have a rod built completely to their specification wtih a 100% satisfaction guarantee for around the same price.

These rods are awesome! You need to try the Emerald Series they are building!

Hag, Randy showed me your rod to be. Amazing looking. Also has the Green Carbon fiber look. When the sun hit it, it was awesome looking. I think I know what my next one will be.

You're welcome evv59, it was a pleasure meeting and doing business with you. Hag, you're right, there are many great rod builders in Texas and the value you receive for your dollar just can't be matched with over the counter rods. evv59, feel free to stop by anytime to see "what's new" as we're working on several new rod types. Let me know when you want that new Emerald series rod and we'll fix you right up.

Did I miss something? Did Kit sell the business?

I have 2 sidewinder rods made and I think that there is none better...as you say, custom rod.

Kit sold maybe a month ago. It was posted in the "Rod and Reels" section.

O K
I did miss that. As I have said before, I never had Mr. Falcon or any of the other rod co. owners call me after I recieved my rod to see if I was pleased with the product!

I thought Kit did 1 heck of a job!

I can tell you that you will receive the same service from Randy and Dorothy that you did from Kit. I can certainly testify to that from my recent experiences I had with rods for the WTTT.

Guys, we are going to make an 8' swim bait rod also in the near future. We are looking for the best materials available on the market before we make it. Not very long now before it's available.
