I smoked two briskets and eight chickens yesterday along with some jalepenos, seranos and onions (for my chipotle salsa), but I forgot to take pictures .

Chicken, Ribs, Brisket. We are going to have around 50 people at my in-laws today. Should be lots of fun. Then we go to Sammy Satterwhites fireworks display tonight in Longview.

Eating some cream cheese with pickapeppa on wheat thins in the meantime.

bone in rib eyes cooked over screaming hot oak coals. pot of pinto beans. large baked taters with sour cream ,real butter,cheese, and real bacon bits . loaf of sour dough french bread from the oven. salad. birthday cake and dutch chocolate blue bell for the wifey's birthday.

I think I may grill up some venison back straps later this afternoon

Yeah... yeah... rub it in! I think that we still have a half of a package of freezer burnt hot dog weenies in the freezer. Maybe have enough bread to wrap around one or two of them for some hot dogs.

what i listed above cost me $60 Still way cheaper than eating out at a steak house for 4 of us though. I bet it'll be alot better too.

Burgers and Dogs for lunch. Went to Patman this morning and caught five 14"ers and will have them tonight.

Smoked this pan on the pit this mornin'...brisket, Echrich sausage, and weenies for the kids. I've already got gas. This is for tomorrow, always better on the second day.

(forgot to mention...if after a sandwich, you dont have grease spots on your shirt...you ain't eatin' it right)

Just ate some burgers and dogs. Going to lounge in the pool a bit then blow some stuff up.

Just preped a pork loin for the smoker in the morning. Also throwing on two racks of pork spareribs - will dry rub them in the morning. Also gonna make a big pot of Mickles Ranch Style beans and the wife is making some of her world famous potato salad....throw back a frozen margarita after din-din tomorrow night and all will be well in the colon-y. Will take pics of the finished products tomorrow.

Hmmm, baked 3 chicken quarters in the oven till real done. Pulled the meat and tossed it in a hot skillet with some bar b que sauce and onions. Kinda sauteed them.
Stored all in a tuppewear and gonna eat it for lunch at work tonight while all the rest of you are eating your scrumptious grilled goodies and shooting off fireworks and putting out fires.

cooked 6 racks of baby backs for the family get together today. Been eating on them all day !

Gotta lotta smoke leaks to plug - thinking about welding where the firebox meets the pit. I drilled and put in 2 extra sheet metal screws and that helped some. Drill and pop rivet with some high heat resistant tape between maybe?
