Got out round 4:30 headed right to Deadmans.First 3 casts 3 nice sandies. Little dinks had some surface action but good fish down deep. All my fish came on the green/red mouse. Zen fishing off the back got some nice ones on his new laser eye. Cruised around for a bit then ended up back right were we started from, only this time there was a little boat show with mostly TFF'ers out there. Thanks for the mice Butch it's they have been tied on since the day I got em and probably will stay on for the rest of the summer.

Hey Frank, What a show. I stopped there about 14:00 and got too hot so I went to a shade and caught 10 dink bass until about 16:00. When I got back it was crazy, we all seemed to show up at the same time like it was planned. Rhino yelled out to identify all the TTF'ers and we all raised our hands. I think it was about 12 boats like we were at the bubbles at the Vine. I managed 2 good sandies and this thang. I'm going back to the vine. Where have all the big schools gone this year?

You bet man!!! I had a couple of guests on my boat, Dave and his 13 year old son and they did pretty good but the 13 year old schooled us both he had a Zebco with a very early version of a mouse tied on and he was out fishing us 2 to 1 at first we moved off of deadmans and got into some better fish both my guests had a blast!! we ended up keeping 25 that they will be frying up over the weekend,
I will be off of LL for a few days I loaned my boat to dave for the 4th weekend he has a big family and they are gonna be camping on ray hubbard this weekend.
Ran into a bunch of TFFers today and gave away several baits, good seeing everyone.
remember that the baits are for sale at finny tribe white and chart seemed to be good today but I think the fish are real aggressive right now so anything will catch good fish.
CaptCarter thanks for the extra fish those guys had a blast!!!
Frank what boat where you in???

I head a report that the lake was way crowded and people were being very rude on the water---did anyone else experience this? Would this be a good weekend to mow the lawn or sleep in?

well, we tried to hit lewisville but ended up not being able to find the little elm ramp. downloaded the directions off internet but they were not right. Should have used the GPS but was in wife's car today. Instead of just driving around, we decided to go to plan B which was turn around and do grapevine which is very close to home. Sorry I missed meeting the rest of you guys out there. Sounds like you guys had a fun time.
Boat traffic was crazy on grapevine. How was it on lewisville today? So who caught what out at LL today. Any big hybrids reeled in? No big sandies for us today but my son did catch a nice 3lb. bluecat which put up a good fight on his zebco 33.
bigmac, Nice clam! I've seen alot of strange things reeled in over the years but that ranks right up there.

Really since we all seemed to be experienced and had the TFF in common it was really a good thing. No one seemed to bothered by the big crowd and we all laughed when someone pulled a fish in. I did my best to stay out of anyones way. I didn't show off my clamasaurous until now. I thought it was funny.

I head a report that the lake was way crowded and people were being very rude on the water---did anyone else experience this? Would this be a good weekend to mow the lawn or sleep in? Funny you mention that Jason... It is still kinda eatin at me but I was at the cleaning table with a father and son that up until this moment had a outstanding day on the water and some young guys drunk off their @$$ in a yellow ski boat with the chrome tower decided to yell out as they where leaving "hey you effin redneck thanks for blocking the trash can you effin idiot" I had a mind to go and get some satisfaction but I aint so stupid that I know I prolly would have my but handed to me but I was really peeved for a little while. In hindsight I should have called the cops because they would have never got out of hidden cove without getting stopped. I dont mean to perpetuate the bad feelings between fisherman and skiers but these idiots just cemented the way I feel about wake board boats... more testerone than sence

It was good seeing so many TFF'ers, it feels good to know you have something in common with so many. I guess this is our own little fraternity.

The fishing was great today. Anybody that stayed home missed out on a lot of fun. No serious boat traffic this evening. somebody did decide to take home my marker I left at deadmans. guess they wanted it more than me. stopped by to pick it up and it was gone.

Butch we were in the tan/white Procraft with the missing windsheild port side. Looking back I guess that was you in the green flat boat selling some Mice to Lite-liner in that big white boat.

Captain Carter, I must have picked up your marker?. It was late with no boats around. I stopped to check with the closest boat to see if it was theirs and they said no... I would love to get it back to you. Let me know what we need to do. I have three markers so I didn't pick it up because I needed one. It was great to see all the TFF'rs out there last night we had a good time.
Fishing this morning was much slower. We picked up a few nice sized sandies at the gravel pits but no Hybrids.

Captain Carter, Yes he did come by me late just before sundown and asked if the marker was mine and I said No... Pete was trying to do the right thing. It was nice of Pete to try to find the owner.

are yall casting the mouse or bouncing them off the bottom Both. Fish off the bottom if no surface action. Burn across the top during the boil. I have also been successful by casting, let it fall all the way to the bottom and then start reeling up with the occasional pause. You will feel the strike during the pause.

CaptinCarter, Enjoyed talking to you last night. It took me about 10 minutes to find my marker last night after you left. As I was searching for it, my wife caught 4 more nice sandies off the bottom. Finally, had to make her quit fishing and look for the marker. Hope to see you out there again soon.

Capatin Carter I've got a marker of yours since last year. I tried to return it a few times but we never were on the lake at the same time. Come by next time you see me on the lake. Tan/white Procraft missing windsgield on port side. I have the marker in the boat. Seems like you lose one every year, lol.

Thats funny because I forgot all about that one till i lost this one the other night and remembered it was my last. I was out this morning till noon. Caught a few good size but got bored so I went in. The scenery at deadmans was pretty good.
