sure have. There are crappie, bass, and sandies in there. That pond is 30ft deep and has a massive drop off 10 yards off the bank. Goes from 5 ft to about 20ft deep in a matter of 10 yards.

Can you just walk up and fish right there on the golf course?

its technically not part of the golf course. Right now its hard to get to because of all the trees surround the entrance. Easier in the winter time when all the brush is dead

I am familiar with this spot but I have never fished it. Do people park along the side of the road? If I remember correctly there is a small clearing that meets the water, large enough to fit a vehicle through. Is the terrain in this spot stable enough to launch a small boat in?

way to go BFAIL. giving away all our dirty little secrets! LOL

Great fishing hole, and the one behind it is even better as it has direct connect to the Fabulous Elm Fork!

Hi all - I wanted to get in on this - I have fished the lake right at the corner by
the gun range turn in - the next big lake/pond north of there, heading towards
the golf course - is that the water you all are speakin' of? Always wanted to try it.

Can you access them in a kayak or canoe put in from Riverside or is the current in the river a bear there?

kayaking in there from the river would be the ideal way to get in. No current this time of year unless some major prolonged storms settle in.

I was at Bird Fort park one day last year. The river was much higher and faster than it is now.

One guy launched a kayak. Then there were three or four guys in a jon boat built for two. They had a trolling motor on the rear and a foldup seat in the middle. Hope they had enough battery capacity to get back upstream.
