I took a work colleague fishing last evening and we trolled south of the island on the mud flats in 15-5 feet of water. We caught sandbass constantly. I don't think it was 3-5 minutes before between each landing.

I used slabs (simple ones from Acadamy). Silver seemed to be the color of the day. Nothing large but fun none the less.

We then tried some catfishing but nothing was biting (for us). We were using fresh large shad cut into thirds.

Finally we headed into the power station bay and tried for some gar but the sun set and I think that was the end of the gar action.
