had a buddy take me, my brother,brother in law,neice and a few other friends out of galveston yesterday and it was a killer day. at the end of the day, we boxed 16 snapper to 12lbs,14 kingfish to 18lbs and 8 ling to 53lbs. this was my neices first offshore trip and she caught the biggest king of the day at 18lbs. i hooked her up with a kingfish on the trout rod also. i caught,faught and let go 4 or 5 kingfish on my trout rod. pole bowed over so hard that my lind cut grooves into my upper grip of my rod. entered the 53lbs ling into tackletime tournament. its 2nd place. don't think it will hold up, but we will see. i will post some pics in the next few days. i need to get it on disk.
