Mornin BB started the afternoon out slow. Jay told me to drop the anchor so i did, did not catch much of anything at that spot so i started pullin the anchor up and after i got all the slack out it was hung. we could not pull it up so we tied it off and drug it to the channel hoping we could get it loose. it all 300 horses on Jays boat to pull it and the props were almost out of the water. so we drug it back to shallow water and got it to where we could see the chain down in the water. tried to pull it up and it did not come any. Jay took his shirt off and jumped in the water. he found a 1/2" cable on the anchor going between the flukes. we tied the other end of the rope to the cable and held that Jay unhooked the anchor from the cable and we went fishin. Jay has no idea what it is but he said he is going to find out. we started catchin at 7 and we ended up headin back to the marina at 8:20 with a limit of hybrids and 6 whites.

Good Morning everyone, i just want to say yall are a awesome bunch folks the way yall help each other out and sound like yall have a good time and catch fish to boot. i have fished Lake belton all my life but have always done it bass fishing with the ocasional schooling whites and hybrids(i now have a pontoon for family), and have always done it in the mid section of the lake sandy beach, lawsons cove, cedar ridge on back to bull creek and girl scout camp. i know there are hybrids/whites there. my question is due to the boat traffic this weekend(and friends family coming down going with us) I want to try up around the north end of the lake Mcgregor, leona, long bridge etc. do yall think it would be worth a shot. i just want to show them a good time an catch them some hybrids. Sorry for the long post but figured i could get some straight answers from yall. thank yall in advance.

Great report YC! Ya know, I can't believe you let Jay jump in when the Deckhand should have done so. You are the person responsible, you threw the anchor in!!

That's a tough question C.Beck. Most of the fish will be in the areas where there's a lot of boat traffic and if you do find a nice cove I'm sure the wakeboarders will love those spots too!

TLP is good but again, boat traffic. The Flats should be good but you will have boats flying past you in the front and rear. I'd set a drift in front of TLP and enjoy the day fishing.

The main lake, TLP should be good. Best to wait till evening when the fish start to bite and the traffic starts to clear.

I can't believe that it is alreday July 3rd and we haven't had mowing report from Yellowcat yet. Not even a weak yeeeehhhaaawww!

Yeller don't give that imfo up that area top secret. That cable was put there to attract fish. But sometimes things go wrong. But the deckhand should go in if that does happen .LOL

My boat can go but I am staying home !!!!

Sorry but I do not sink boats without the owner in the boat with me.

I am taking one of my bosses out.....sure hope we catch some fish. I better have plenty of Blue Cans just in case.

We're heading out to Tulsa in the am, I should bring a pole or two just in case Texoma isn't too far off the main highway with a good bank spot.

sorry DB but cant give ya that info. Jay did not even tell me to go in he just started un buttoning his shirt and i asked are ya goin in he said well $$$$ yea i am that rope is $1.50 a foot. just pulled off the lake from baitin the trotlines pulled a 3lb channel and 3lb blue. in the mornin we are goin back to run them. on the way back Jerry was trollin and i saw a huge shad at the surface floatin there so we turned around and i scooped him up i the net. he we was still alive took a pic on my phone and turned him loose. he was about 14" long.
