after a restless monday evening my brother and i got an early jumpstart and arrived at boatramp around 2am. threw my castnet for 3 hrs trying to catch baitfish and only caught plenty 12 inch tilapia. crossed over to other side of lake and finally found baitfish. anchored out 545am and thought i would enjoy a well-deserved snack and refreshment. baited out poles by 0555, first fish on 0603. caught over 20 reds in the next 2-1/2 hrs(lost count) on live perch, shrimp and shad. its been a little over 24 hrs and my arms still feel like they got pulled from their socket joints. while trapsing around during this mayhem i must have kicked my favorite baitcaster that was lying on the back deck thus locking the spool down. shortly after i became the lastest member of the fairfield underwater rod & reel club. learned this lake and all we know about redfishing from jackieblue

Once out of my boat with a previous warning. Another time just onlooking another boat. It aint funny but then again.....it made me laugh. Good catch. Jackie is a good teacher.

Parker: I still laugh about the time you almost became the founding member of the underwater trolling motor club. I don't care who you are, that was funny.......at least it was after we got it back on the boat.

Parker: I still laugh about the time you almost became the founding member of the underwater trolling motor club. I don't care who you are, that was funny.......at least it was after we got it back on the boat. Nothing like hitting the GO button on a foot control and seeing the motor take off with out the boat. If you cant imagine...It looks exactly like what you'd think it would. It just kinda took off then started to sink and spin in circles. The only thing that kept it from going deep six was my foot on the control. A semi embarrassing almost enjoyable fishing memory. I have since upgraded.

Hey gregpaul, What depth of water were you catching the reds in? Last 2 times I've been I didn't do so well. I really like using live bait and the best place I've found is right where the ramp ends. But be careful cause if you throw 3 feet past the end, your net will get hung up.
