Anyone? Seeing lots of reports from LL, but nothing from Ray Bob.

Sand bass are schooling early most days til about 10:00 am. South west of Wolf Island and the flats from the marina to Culp Island been the best areas but they can come up anywhere. After the schooling quits slabin in 28 to 35 feet has been good this week and most of the deep fish are big. Most of the schooling fish are small.

The boss (wife) and I went out Sunday evening. Didn't get on the lake until about 5:00. Tried 3 different spots and nothing and thought we were just going on a boat ride. Then we found found them in about 28-32 ft of water and it was non stop for about an hour and 1/2. We had so many doubles it was ridiculous. My wife was screaming and carrying on so loud thank God there were very few boats on the lake. We kept 50 good sized keepers and 2 cats and caught well over 100. I need to mention that my wife doesn't take off her fish so I was really busy!! Tim is right when he says the quality fish are on the bottom. We certainly aren't any experts when it comes to locating 'em, just trust your graphs. Come 7:30 they just vanished and it was over just like that. Good thing as I had lots of fish to clean. Spent the evening on the east side of the lake. Thanks to Tim for all his advice both on the forum and when we see him at Johnson Branch. He's the guru for sure. Caught most on a CC jigging spoon with a Flies-By-Night tied above and some on a TNT 180.Lots of fun. Won't be on the lake for a couple of weeks, hope we can find them again next time.

D & M,

Glad you did good. The evening bite may be the best right now. I stayed yesterday till 5:00 and left them biting in a few areas. I will know more after a couple afternoon trips next week.
In the same areas today we really had to work for them late morning to 2:00 pm.

Have a great holiday,

Tim

I hear the sandies are much bigger at Ray Roberts than LL. It is by far better to fish at than LL.
