Unless he has caught a bunch of fish and is already tired of the little ones, he (and you) will have a lot more fun catching a dozen sunfish than catching a single 2-pound bass or catfish.

As far as where to go, almost any pond, river, or lake will have sunfish.

Oh yeah tiny hooks and worms on a cork is a tons of fun for kids and you alike. In the right spot it should take the sunnies all of 10 seconds to bite.

In Southlake down off white chappel road there is a park, believe it is Bob Jones.....Great place nice cover and deck..
