nascarchuck TFF Team Angler Registered: 12/31/05 Posts: 4105 Loc: Benbrook, TX	I am looking to buy a late model Dodge or Ford truck. Probably going 4X4 and gas powered. Probably going to be a Dodge Hemi. Later down the road I would like to get a smaller 5th wheel travel trailer, probably 25 ft or so. Will a 1/2 ton truck pull a smaller 5th wheel ok or do I need to go ahead and buy a 3/4 ton that I really cant afford right now? I know the answer will depend on the truck specs as well as the trailer specs, but I'm just looking for a general answer. Good luck! By the way, the Dodge will probably be the only one in a half-ton that could pull a 5th wheel (and even then I don't know about that length...Plus Dodges are usually cheaper to purchase.... Oh and when you do decide to take the plunge, always look at least 150 miles outside of the D/FW area. I am looking at Carmax and I will be getting with Brian (TFF'er) at Texas Motorcars as well. Right now I see a 2005 4X4 4 door Dodge 1500 Hemi w/ 9K miles for a decent price. It's in OKC though but I am willing to travel if the price is right. I am hoping that Brian can find me something that will work for me. Even though diesel is outragous in costs, I think that the mileage/towing power makes up for the difference. I just don't think that I can afford the upfront costs of purchasing a diesel. Brian...
