Ryon and David Donaldson crushed the entire field of (27) teams at the 5th Tournament of the Bass Pro Shop - Grapevine Tournament Series at Lake Grapevine on Sunday. Ryon and David brought in a limit of (5)over-the-slot largemouth bass to the scale weighing in at a whopping 24.34 pounds! Ryon and David related that they caught several "overs" and were actually "culling" several times to reach their outstanding weight.
Doug Powell and Jerry Corporon took 2nd Place with a five-bass limit of 16.85 after a fish care penalty. This included the BIG BASS of the tournament at 8.97. John Strong and Ryan McGrail finished 3rd with 14.01 which included a 4.80 kicker. Chase Kelly and Jordan Logan finished 4th with 12.64, and rouding out the Top-5 were Clint Freeman and Garrett Winford with a five-bass limit of 12.07. The final results have been posted below:

Anglers were greeted in the morning by cloudy skies and lower temperatures in the mid to upper 70's warming to mid-90's by the afternoon. Light rain at times helped cool the temperature and provided some respite from the summer heat.
A total of (51) anglers comprising a total of (24) teams and (3) individual anglers brought a grand total of (204.70) pounds of bass to the scale. There were (21) five-bass limits and (3) zeros.
The next tournament of the Bass Pro Shop - Grapevine Tournament Series will be on Sunday July 6th. WE WILL START EARLIER ON JULY 6TH AT 5:00AM WITH THE WEIGH-IN AT OPENING AT 1:00PM AND CLOSING AT 1:30PM. This change in time will help beat the heat and ease congestion at the ramp for this tournament only.
