I posted this in the Photo Section but thought I would post it here as well as I was bank fishing.

After being on vacation in Florida for the past week I thought I would take my first day back and see if anything was happenin in some of the ponds here in Flower Mound. I sent a few hours fishing one of the more well know ponds and only manage a few bullheads so I moved to another pond and landed a few small LMB in the pound range and several sunfish (perch) that were in the 10 or 11 inch range.

After about an hour at this second pond I landed my personel best LMB banana It went 9 pounds and was 22 inches.

I was using a RoadRunner with a junebug colored grub body with 8 lb line.

And for those that want to say something about the pics being taken at my home -- The fish was released after the pics were taken.

For reference I am 6'2 and weigh around 218.

All in all a great day fishing fish

A big congratulations to ya! I hear a lot about Road Runners...they really do catch a variety of fish. Did you use their jig head with your own grub body though?

Kelkay

Yes, I used the white head and just put the grub body on it. I have better luck using the grub bodies than anything else.

Thanks. I have a couple of bags of the heads, and just add what I want. I thought that may of been what you were talking about.

nice fish, but you might want to check those scales. fish doesn't look that big. with that said, noone would argue that is one fine fish, especially out of a pond.

WOW - nice bass....I bet that was fun, especially with light line.

I plan on hitting a pond or two in south Lewisville on Friday AM just to get in some fishing. I should probably take my yak out and do a real fishing trip.
