I keep looking at the river where it crosses under the 121 overpass on the east side of 35. Looks like it takes a bend as it heads north and goes behind some apartments and maybe businesses. Anyone know of a place to fish along this stretch.

I seen a white work van parked of Hebron PKWY next to the bridge 2 days ago. I didn't stop to look at what was caught. Creek look fishable. Also to the west of that is a pretty good size pond just next the apartment complex. Maybe it got some PERCH in there, love catching perch.
From the way I drive looks like there is access from behind an Abuelos mexican resturant.. The parking looks completly empty behind the resturant, and there appears to be plenty of bank access one you get through the brush.. or from the apartments on the oposite side.

You can have all the bream from that big pond you want, just leave the big bass and huge crappie in there for me! I get em in the winter and early spring.
My son and I were checking this out this morning. You can access the river by going behine the patio furniture store just north of the La Hacienda (sp?) restaurant at Frankford and 35. There is a small dirt road off the back of the parking lot. Don't know how good the fishing is, we fished under the railroad bridge just upstream without any luck. Then again,we didn't really know what we were doing.

I've seen people fish around that spot behind La Hacienda and the Patio Store. Seems like an easy way to get to the Elm Fork provided the retail stores don't care.
I'd like to get at the "no fishing" golf pond a few hundred yards east. Apparently from the signs the city of Carrollton went to the trouble of passing an ordinance to ban all fishing there.
If you are talking about the creek that also passes under hebron pkwy between 35 and 121 i have brought in several lmb and pan fish i have a few photos some where i fished from the around and under the bridge. if you where driving east on hebron right before the creek on the right you can pull off and go down the hill thats where i have tried so far.
