Hello all, new here. I just saw an ad for this site on TV. I do not have a boat so i bank fish alot..everywhere i go. I have a few spots on Grapevine and a few assorted local ponds i fish alot. I have been fishing a pond in Keller that turns out holds good size bass for what the pond is. I kicked out 2 3lb bass this evening with other assorted sizes over the span of two weeks. Long story short i feel i wore out my welcome and would like to move on. Which ponds are working for you guys in my area?

Thank you
Marcus

Yeah, that's crazy! I haven't seen an add for this site either yet! What channel was it on?

In regards to your guestion I try to fish any pond I see. You will find out that most of them hold fish. There is a pond in a little park by my house that I never thought would hold decent sized fish and I caught my PB Largemouth out of it! I was 7lbs and I got him on a weightless Senko. I wish I had a specific pond to tell you about but there are so many that hold fish.

Try the Colleyville Nature Center as the place is beautiful and has plenty of fish...Also they have 7 ponds or so there as well!

Marcus,
This pretty current thread talks about the Colleyville Nature Center ...

Where in the midcities are you?

Neil

Yeah the Fox sports fishing report is where i saw the ad. I am located in North Richland Hills. I went to colleyville nature center for about 4 night hitting different areas. I did manage to reel in a 5.3lb LMB. Other than that the place is infested with perch and i can not stand perch. I have fished numerous places and none have been as productive as the couple places in Keller i go to, but just last night i was mistaken for a burglar by residents and had the cops sent after me.

"Other than that the place is infested with perch and i can not stand perch."

huh? Why...that's shocking! How you can love fishing ponds without doing some perch jerkin? Especially for the bull Bluegills and Shellcrackers? wink lol.. Seriously, perch jerkin saves my bank outing when the big girls aren't biting. smile

In your neck of the woods, try Beford Boys Ranch and Chisholm Trail ponds. Good stuff. Also Bear Creek in Kellar. And in Haltom City fish Fossil Creek. smile
