I normally (ie. almost always) fish in the evening, my job constantly gets in the way of good fishing, so I'm off today (gotta drive to big D to see Tom Waits concert with my daughter), and this morning I get to go fishing...ahh, I almost forgot how nice & cool an overcast summer morning can be, plus I had the whole lake to myself. Fish were somewaht cooperative, catching a small bass every 15 minutes or so, in between big cocky bream kept me busy...then a good 'un nailed my bug...I thought I lost him when he made for the reeds, I am presently grinning and thinking to myself "4 1/2 lbs of bass AND Tom Waits on a Monday ?", damn, I'm lucky.

Corbina, opaleye, hammerhead shark
Steelhead salmon or a mud bank carp
Sand me one side dull, whittle the other side sharp
By Saturday night I'll be in Central Park
They're serving fish in the jailhouse tonight-t waits

The Palladium was like a broiler, I have never paid to be so miserable, good thing the music was outta-this-world-awesome-outstanding...being a 48 yr old relic, I can attest that 34 yr olds have lots more concerts in their future.
..oh, about the green popper...Yes..and the most important part of the catch below.
