i was fighting a 5ft cuda about 45 minutes ago from my rental boat, and the fish was tearing up my 6 weight that the spool poped off. and i did not tie a knot from my backing to the reel. fish got away and so did the reel.... good thing i brought 4 reels out here rolfmao juggle

ps if anyone finds a nikon at the bottom of the ocean, there are pics of 200lb jewfish, 40lb king fish, a mess of bonita, 70lb jewfish, lemon shark, bull shark, hammerhead, and a bunch of other fish.

haha the cuda is going to be mounted, it was 4 inches shy of the key west record. it measured to be 53 inches. you can come to my restuarant to see it on display. i stayed at the santa maria, prob one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. there were only 36 rooms. and it was on its own private beach. every where we fished we chumed. took the fish about 5 to 10 minutes to show up. but when they did. it was on!!! next time i go i wont be staying on key west. but i will be staying at marathon keys. i hear the fishing is even better there.
