What is your favorite type of sunfish to catch? Mine is the greensunfish because of how aggresive they are.

Warmouth...I just think they are neat and beautiful fish.
It's also a challange to catch them in any numbers.
But as was stated...if we're going to include the black basses, then I'd say guadalupe bass just because of where you are if you're able to catch them.

Warmouth are some AWESOME little fish.
Redear are a blast. They're just such a stout little fish (they feel like a striper feels when you hold 'em...just feels SOLID).
Greens are alot of fun just cos they're so aggressive, but caught out of good clear water they can be some BEAUTIFUL fish.

My favorite was an orange spotted I caught about a week ago. Was very tempted to place it in the aquarium ;-)

Without a doubt, redbreast on rivers and streams. I'm used to catching the big boys from the blackwater streams of South Georgia, so the little guys around here (San Antonio) are a little bit of a letdown, but its better than no redbreast at all.

I am partial to fishing local creeks for green sunfish. I use 4 lb test line on an ultralight rig. I like them because of their pretty colors and aggressiveness. The occasional LMB that decides to join in the fun always speeds up my heart as well.

Warmouth put up a huge fight like a bass. Longear are beautiful. I like to catch the larger sunfish, doesn't really matter what kind to me. (especially on a fly rod)
