can any of yall tell me what you know about the fuel economy on the 150 optimax vs a yamaha 4 stroke 150?

Fuel economy bought the same tommy, optimax gonna come out hole better. yamaha quiter operation easier start. By the way the boat leaks.

had to give you a hard time. gasket was bad round the intake for the aerator.

Are you buting a new motor? If so i think you should consider the 150hpdi. That's what i would get.

I have a 175 Opti and love it. The motor is a 150 but changed up for more performance. I've had it since March and have been on the water just about every weekend. So far I've only run 2 tanks of fuel thru her. From everything I've read on tests the Opti will out do the HPDI and E Tech on fuel. It hardly uses any oil now that I have it broke in too. I've always run Evinrudes before, this is my 1st Merc. Think I'm going to stay with Merc.

i have the 150 optimax as well - can't compare it to the yamaha or others but i think the fuel economy on the 150 opti is great. uses very little gas and oil.
