Dang badassbaits, we are gonna have to fly fish together there before too long. I need to rest up after this contest. It must be before it gets much hotter. I just went out for 2 hours to fish this afternoon/evening and I thought I was gonna faint. I actually almost did. I got out there at a couple of minutes till 6pm. That should of been great. It was cloudy and cool when I left for the lake. A few minutes before getting there, the sun came out and buddy...it got HUMID. Had I known how hot it was gonna be, I'd of kept my butt at the house this evening......lol.
I guess you know you are making me jealous posting all these pics!!!

you have an open invitation to join me any time...i really enjoy catching them and I guess honestly I like showing them off, but I don't want anyone to be jealous, theres not much to be jealous of...i do pursue them vigorously, but anyone could have caught them...they're just bass and they will eat anything that fits in their largemouth.

I know, and I DO PLAN ON TAKING YOU UP ON THAT OFFER! I cannot wait to just do regular fishing when and where I want. The problem is the summer heat won't cooperate for me. I like to catch a nice bass now and then myself. I caught a 16inch bass at Wright Patman a couple of days ago. The sad part is usually I would of been thrilled. Only thing I couldn't get that bass off my line quick enough because I already had bass on my list. I needed something new and different. I left before dark..... I was told by a young boy that snakes will come up on ya out there at dusk. My nephew told me part of the lake had to be shut down because of snakes....he didn't know what kind when I asked. Buddy, that is enough for me. Something big with teeth was on my line too. Before I got that bad boy in he snapped the line clean off. I was so disappointed. I haven't caught anything with teeth yet for the contest........ROTFLMBO. What I would of done when I got it to the bank, now that is another question. I would snap a pic, then cut the line probably if nobody was around to help. Probably was a gar.

OH, before I come out there close to evening time...are the mosquitos stil trying to carry you away out there? Last time I was there was on a boat at night, and there literally were hundreds swarming me. If they are like that at night, I will come in the morn instead.

So is lone star connected to lake o the pines or totally seperate. I was coming up that way a few weeks going to the families ranch around simms and I went over some water and saw a sign for lone star, but I had just gone over the end of lake o pines. I was really wanting to stop and fish daingerfield sp but I was running low on time.

If you are catching those fish on a three weight or less then they are more than simply adequate, they are a hoot!
