LOL,
Went and fish at Freeport Jetty for a week and did alot of Speckle Trout killing. Found one nice spec reaching 27.5 inches long. No KINGS for Spanish Mackrell yet, should be there in July and August.

Check this out for some spanish macs!

Nice catch there SIR,
How far were you out for them??????

heading out early friday morning with a late fathers day fishing trip. we haven't been out to the damn in quite na while, but we have always done good there. is anyone have any results lately, or pointers on what time and what they are hitting on? i plan on bringing the whole tackle box, and if they are biting fish for the big blues we've had success on before. any ifo would be greatly appreciated.

Fished on OK side yesterday from 1:30pm to 10pm. Did really good on 20-27 inch stripers (will try to take pictures today). Between me and my buddy, we ended up bringing home limits of big stripers. 2 nice size catfish, and 1 big [censored] drum. We probably caught 50 stripers total and only 1/3 were dinks. No exaggeration what so ever. People next to us like WTF?! If any of you guys were there yesterday and saw 2 asian dudes constatnly pulling up big stripers left and right, I was one of them. Poeple next were doing really slow. We used Live and cut sunfish. NOTHING BEATS FRESH LIVE or FRESH CUT BAIT. We must have landed on a school and big stripers by luck. I guess it all boils down to using the right bait and the right location. Whats wierd was that some of those big stripers we released back went belly up after a while.

Also to note, I usually do pretty good when the generators are off, but I didnt do to well. I think these fish dont bite when they sense people around.

Not weird, fact. Stripers don't do well in warmer water when released. See it in the lake alot in summer time. Folks get on a school of big stripers and hammer 'em. They think they are doing a good thing by releasing those fish, just to see them belly up a short time later. To each his own.

TexasBlonde,
I just wanted to say thanks for directing me to Hillman's Taxidermy to get my fish done. I met him at Dave's on Friday to pick it up. AWESOME!! The guy is a master taxidermist. They really did a great job.
Thanks, Hillman's Taxidermy!
