I went there today from 5pm - 6:30pm. I caught 3 small LMB and 1 good sized Smallmouth. I didn't even know we had any SMB in North Lakes. I had one more that felt bigger than the ones that I landed but I broke off before I could get a good look at it.

Sounds like a good day. Are you sre it was a smallie? That ponds seems too shallow to hold 'em. I know there are some in Grapevine and Eagle Mountain.

You should be able to email yourself that picture and upload to photobucket and put it on here. If you can do this that would be awesome. Im not saying you are lying but its just one of those things that I will have to see it before I believe it.

Ok. Help me please. I have the photo on photobucket but how do i get it on here? I have never posted a pic or a link before. I let several coworkers look at the pic today and a few guys said yes its a smallmouth and another guy said no way. So now I need to get the opinions from my fellow fisherman. Thanks

Thank you. This little fish put up a fight like a big-un would. Does anyone know if this is a common fish for this pond? I have never seen one there before but I know my son would love to go catch a few of these bad boys.

My friend and I fish this pond all the time and have not produced much.
I've caught a couple dinks, as he has too, and he has caught a 3lb lmb.
What are you using out there?

I used to go out there to the South Pond and wade fish around the dam with my fly rod. We would catch all the LMB we wanted to in the 6-8" range with poppers and sponge spiders. We were targetting big blue gill but never were able to get into them. We would usually catch a couple of runts but mostly small LMB.
