"Niblets" is what I call those wee-tiny bream who chase your lure and nibble on the tail end, but aren't big enough to bite the hook.

Today I was checking out a new bag of Big Bite plastic crickets on a 1/32 (painted) jig.

I caught serveral bream and felt many niblet thumps. After about twenty minutes, I noticed that the cricket was missing both hind legs. The niblets ate my cricket legs!!!

Is the Jolly Green Giant gonna come after me for using his trademark?

The actual thing is only one inch - including the hind legs. I think they have a grasshopper version which is a bit longer 1-1/4 or so.
