Ok, for you engineering Gurus, I want to use my 110 volt fillet knife on the boat - not sure which power inverter to buy though (Yes, I tried the 12 volt fillet knifes and was not happy) - they have units that range from 200 all the way up to 900 watt - would these place to much of a strain on my batteries?

Only when using them. Look for how much your electric knife will pull (Amps) and conculate from there. I would think a 400 watt would be good if you are running that knife by itself.

Did you know that cleaning fish on the boat was illegal in Texas?

Well...I assumed he was trying to do what I have done when there is no cleaning station and no electrical outlets. You can clean them on the shore.
