J C Outdoors will be hosting four open night tournaments beginning in July with 2 tournaments to be held each month.

6 Hour Tournament start time 7:30pm to 1:30am
$130.00 team entry
85% payout
3 fish weigh-in
$10.00 of each entry transfers to a BB pot which pays for over 24" fish only. If no one weighs in an over in the first tournament the pot will carry over to the second tournament and so on until the pot is won. If no overs are weighed-in during the tournament series (very unlikely) the monies will added to the last tournament in August stringer payouts. If the angler weighing a over 24" fish did not fish the previous tournaments his BB payout will be prorated according to the events he has fished and the monies remaining will carry over to the next event.
Tournament is open to all anglers except Lake Fork guides. No membership, no points, no plaques or championship.

Letting GUIDES fIsh, NO thank you, I fish Fork ever year, maybe 8-9 days, Not 365 days, Just give us their address and we can mail them our entry fee's. Good with your Tourney.

Sure was interested in these dates and was actually thinking about fishing them, till I read this " Lake Fork guides can fish the tournaments but two guides cannot team up in the same boat." Think I'll pass on them now,no disrespect to anybody, been there done that, hope your tourney goes well

O.K. guys, rules are not in stone yet. I posted this idea a couple of weeks ago and no one commented on the guide idea. I can nix the Lake Fork guides being eligible. I take no offense at all I need the input, to me all input is positive.

How much is the entry fee going to be, and are you going to have to pay your memebership fee???

Mark, Guides probably not a good deal obviously. Doesnt bother me much but they do have an edge over ell of us normal fishermen/fisherwomen.

Where do you check in, pay and weigh?

This is the same weekend as the Two day catfish splash.

The host marina will be the Minnow Bucket for registration, boat checks and weigh-in. This is the catfish splash weekend but we will not conflict with those guys due to our start and finish times.

The entry fee is to much, should be $75

Off Limits is a short 2 1/2 hours from 5:00pm to 7:30pm Saturday before the tournament. That gives everyone time to get off the water, eat, register and get there livewells checked. Registration will begin at 6:00 pm.

I would make sure that these guys that are not wanting to compete against guides are going to pre pay for all these tournaments up front. Not just suggest rule changes and then not show up. During the Tuesday and Thursday nights, many guides make up the playing field. I'm just thinking your turnout would be better if everyone was allowed to participate.

Will trailering be aloowed?

Trailering will be allowed. No one leaves the Minnow Bucket boat ramp or parking lot until 7:30pm. Everyone must have there wristband provided by us with name and team number in the bucket provided at the weigh-in site by 1:30am. After checking in then you can go and get your fish and bring to the weigh-in.
