I too am thinking bout going to the sabine. Well i'll be taking the GF's family to visit other family down there and will have my rods with me. I dont think many people fish down there post on this forum... OR... they are cathing ALOT FISH and dont want to tell anyone.

All i can say for this area when I was down in feb was that its DEAD. Talked to a few guys and they mentioned since their has not been any rain, the salt consentration was VERY low and fish are out of there. With that said, I saw a women pull up a GIANT Bull red measuring 42" right has we had completed packing up. Fish was caught right in the corner of Logan park and where the Levee starts out

GOOD LUCK!

thanks guys, we just got back and saturday was very tough because of the wind and all day we only caught 4 keeper reds and two keeper flounder. we caught a few more under sized fish. we were only able to fish 1/2 a day sunday and we were able to get into some trout and a couple more flounder. all in all it was a fun trip but we never saw any birds working or any top water action. i lost a very large redfish at the boat, it was abusing my curado...
