Yikes.....that's really bad......my sympathies to him....I broke my foot and had to have surgery 5 wks ago....been in a cast and crutches ever since.....a knitting needle is the best for the undercast scratching.....best wishes for a speedy recovery!!!!

OUCH is right!!! Sorry to hear of his injury!!! The worst thing is no fishing!!! I know how he feels!!! I broke a few bones growing up myself!!!

He is the toughest kid I have ever seen. He didn't even cry when it happened. There is nothing like seeing a bone sticking out of your sons arm. I was freaking, and I have seen some crazy things...
He is doing great and will be ready for the lake in no time! Said he would need plenty of playstation to keep his arm strength..

Doctor removed cast. He has a brace he has to wear for about a month so, so the bone can re-grow to full strength. Expected to be back on his bike and skateboard in no time.

That hurts just looking at the x-rays.  I had that exact break when I was about 14 from pole vaulting. I still have the scars. Hope he is feeling better now.

OUCH IS RIGHT! That looks bad enough for surgery. Good luck, and I hope he heals quickly. Worst part is he'll probably want to get right back on. Hey! Can't he fish with the other hand? Maybe it's time he learned.

He did have surgery on his arm. There is a scar that is about 2 inches long. Other than that, the surgeon said he would never know it was broken.

The kid is a natural....my dad got some pics of him fishing with his brace on Father's Day. I will see if I can post em' up.
Teaching your kids to fish is better than any PB on the water. Im am 18 years older than him, and 19 years older than his brother. Talk about life long fishing buds!

The little guy is a trooper....they gave him liquid hydrocodone, didn't even touch it...
I will put it to good use after my long trip to sandlin and fork this weekend!
