Tried these today and they are simple to make and delicious.

One box (18.25 oz) any kind of cake mix. I used chcolate.
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the ingredients plus a hand full of nuts, chocolate chips, m & m 's etc in a medium bowl.

Drop by spoon (I just used the rubber spatula that I mixed the ingredients togeter) on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

For a great desert add scoop if ice cream on top of a cookies and chocolate syrup.

I didnt try it yet, but looks like you could spread the batter out on the cookie sheet, bake just a little less time (so that the cookie is still kind of soft in the middle) and cut up into squares to make brownies. Ice the brownies and add a bit of Ready Whip on top for another desert treat.

Seems like such a simple recipe even the kids could have a day in the kitchen.
