I have a '98 Acura SLX, which is just a badged isuzu trooper, but when i bought it, the red "Check" light was flashing under the TOD (traction on demand) indicator. That is the shift on the fly 4wd. 4high doesnt work because of this light, and 4 low is a manual shift, so it seems to work fine.
My question is, can anyone recomend a place to take it to get looked at? Every car shop i go to seems to have never seen one of these before, never heard of TOD, and never worked on 4wd. lots of forums mention checking the SOTF actuator, so i check the vacume hoses and they both work, maybe the actuator is stuck, because i dont no how, or have the tools to check fluid in the front axel.

If anyone can recomend a place near 190 and garland rd. (firewheel area) i would appreciate it!
