Rhodes, I think--black horny toad bite was really on last trip. It was on at Clear Lake, too, but the average size was waaaay smaller.

How did you and Wayne do after I left. The wind seemed to be getting stronger when I left. Hope you did well. Good seeing you guys again.

I ended up with six in 3 hours. You are right--the wind just got stronger. It was swirling, too, so you really couldn't get out of it, and we cut it short at 11.

were you guys on Rhodes? I had the Ranger out on Clear lake yesterday and my big anchor wouldn't slow me down

Is there any decent sized fish left in Clear lake? Yesterday was my first time there since the drought and all we got was 8" to 12"ers.

Yeah, you have to sift through a ton of little fellas, but there still are some big fish in Clear Lake. You might try upsizing baits--might discourage the dinks.
