Millers Pond on Old Pearsol Road is now a very good place to fish.
I used to go there, at that time you could fish from only one side of the pond.

Last night I went to check it out after a long break from fishing there, now there is a new jogging walking track all the way around the pond. The banks have been improved and and the weeds are gone. Fishing is now quite easy from any place around the pond.

There was a spot where you had to wade through mud to get to the bank and now it has been bridged, so its used friendly.

There is a disadvantage now I did see twice as many people fishing as I ever have. The pond is stocked and I saw a three fish being caught in a the space of thirty minuets.

Do I want to take a forty mile round trip to fish in a pond stocked with smallish catfish, a pond heavily fished and not fairly secluded like it used to be????????

I have slept on that question and I feel like the answer will be no.

I am glad they have made the improvements but I prefer solitude while fishing.

But for family fishing this must be one of the best places in SA, there is basket ball courts, a community center, play areas, picnic areas and easy and ample parking.
