Yep, Yamaha put a new engine on it in October. I barely had it broke in by November, so the engine probably doesnt have 25 hours on it.

Yep somebody is getting a new engine with this 2006, and won't have to go through those headaches.

The headaches of having to take the boat to a Yamaha dealer and getting the warranty work done. All 2006 Yamaha 250's (in that series of engine serial numbers) have to be returned to the dealer for the warranty work. Hope that explains what I meant!

What boat are you getting? This may sound stupid, but I am going to be in the market for this exact boat this time next year. I am going to want to buy a year old boat and am just curious. I know that doesn't help you now, if I didn't have to deal with my wife I'd be all over this one right now. The main reason I'm curious is that you'll probably be selling the new one a year from now right?

You are right on the money. Some of the team members actually have guys set up to purchase their boat well in advance, and I would most likely consider that. My preference would be to order my new boat right before the factory closes on December 15th, to get the order in ahead of the boat shows. This would put the new boat in around the middle of February, that way we would both have our new boats just ahead of tournament season. Email me your email address, and I will add you to my TBL list. That way we will both have a reminder! I actually ordered a 21i, but I think I ended up with a 20i again. Fine, doesn't matter to me.It is very similar to my current boat, if it aint broke dont fix it!

The engine had a two year warranty, which is good through this month. There may be the opportunity to purchase and extended warranty, we would just have to check with the dealer.

As far as the real money program:

BUY a Skeeter. Purchase and/or own any new or used Skeeter powered by Yamaha from a Skeeter dealer or private party.

REGISTER. Visit your local, authorized Skeeter dealership to obtain a registration form, or download a form at http://www.skeeterboats.com. You must register for the Real Money Program to be eligible. If you acquire a different Skeeter boat after you are registered, please contact Skeeter to change the serial number to your registration by calling 1-888-983-0335. A $24.95 Real Money registration fee per angler includes:
Real Money Membership card
Official Real Money hat
Real Money boat decal
Skeeter truck decal
Skeeter patch
FISH & WIN in a Contingency Paying Event (as listed on the Website for Local and Regional Division as defi ned in the Rules and Conditions). A list of Contingency Paying Events for Local and Regional Divisions are posted on our Website. The schedule of Contingency Paying Event dates is compiled in late winter, and updated periodically on our Website. Contingency Paying Events are subject to change without notice.

GET PAID. Payments will be made once Skeeter receives and approves "official" tournament results from you and all Rules and Conditions have been met. To be eligible for incentives you must register prior to participating in a Contingency Paying Event.

So there you have, yes the Real Money Program is available to you.
