Thats pretty neat. So, Im guessing the rebar is free in the pipe and slides to the bottom when a fish pulls it down and thats how it flags? Pretty neat idea. I cant find anywhere around here that sells the white noodles, Ill have to give the white duct tape a try. Right now Im using white bleach jugs but they sure take up a lot of room. Im going to try and make some of these in the next few weeks.

Nathan, I built some for a friend and could not find any white ones in Wichita Falls, so I got the lightest color I could find(a limey green). I picked up 3 spray cans of the White Fusion paint(the paint made for plastics) at Wal-Mart, put a light mist coat on them and then sprayed them twice and they are white, you can write on them and they are holding up real good. thumb

White Duct tape, wrapped the whole noodle part of it and that has lasted 3 years with no problem. No rebar though. Dont want everyone on the lake knowing I got fish on... Not only that if you have a fish on youll eventually notice cause it still raises. Ive had a green 40 lb blue on one of mine that couldnt hold the noodle under water for more than 15 sec. or so. Sure is cool to see that thing disappear and reappear!

i am thinking about making the rebar stay down at the end all the time so that the jugs will stand straight up ... they are not easy to see when i know where i put them and boaters would be able to avoid them better also ... the flagging part is a kinda a novelty for me any how ... i mean i'm gonna check'um all whether they are flaggin or not

My neighbor just puts weight in the bottom of the PVC pipe and lets them stand up full time. They are certainly easy to spot this way.
