I looking for some quick tips if yall don't mind in the department of which bait, presentation of bait, surf or channel side, and closer to the gulf or the bridge.

What side depends on the weather...If it's blowing from the South stick to the Northside and fish the channel. With the waves and wind coming from the south a lot of bait gets push on the Northside channel side. As for bait bring your castnet for the Mullet and stop by the Bait Bucket on SPID for you live shrimp. Fish the shrimp on a lemon rig(Google it). Fish the Mullet with a sliding egg sinker or freeline. You can also freeline the shrimp.
I fish the Southside surfside most of the time weather permiting. When it blows from the South I'm on the North...

I use 12lb main line and a 25-30lb leader
