would you fish ? if you could fish anywhere for any species , what would it be ? billfish ? amazon peacocks ? south american trout ? my dream trip would be peacocks in the amazon although some big redfish would be pretty awesome too.

1st stop New Zealand for trout; 2nd stop Amazon for Peacock bass; 3rd Ireland because I am of Irish decent; 4th Alaska for anything that will hookup.

#1 Bristol Bay Alaska before it's all screwed up #2 Gallatin in montana because my uncle fished both places before he passed #3 Labrador for big Brookies and Atlantic Salmon #4 Florida for Tarpon and Bone fish

Amazon peacocks and giant cats
Tarpon and sail fish off the coast of florida
That awsome bass lake in mexico (is it backarak)
Salmon and steelhead fishing in the north

Best trip so far..... yellow tail tuna fishing in mexico on a private boat.

Number 1 = Key West for big Tarpon in 2 feet of water
Number 2 = Alaska, Iliamnia drainage creeks for big rainbows
Number 3 = Alaska Steehead fishing on Kodiac Island, Karluk river
Number 4 = ponds in East Texas

Man I never want to boil it down to one, but, one would have to be Thailand. Some of that stuff needs to be hanging off the end of my fly rod.

I'd go back 40+ years and fish the cedar river in Williamston Michigan with my dad in that old wooden boat where I caught my first big fish (Northern Pike) with a Zebco 202 and a solid fiberglass rod. That's where it all started for me smile

Alaska for salmon, and grayling, plus anything else I could latch on to. Amazon for Peacock Bass. NW mountain states...for trout.
(mainly Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho)
