Here's the report:
"Had a good time on the water even though my kayak was having to ride 2-3 foot waves when I was out on the main lake. I caught 9 dink cats up to 1.5 lbs on two inch shad, but saw a pretty amazing fish in the meantime. There was a 15-20# flathead catfish that jumped on top of the bulkhead (retaining wall) and was apparently feeding up there. I first thought it might be a carp but paddled over and got a better view. His head was approximately 6 " across and he was over two feet long. I had a real good look at him because he raised his head up. He was able to back into the water twice after jumping up onto the bulkhead."
Strange. So he was bringing his catch out of the water to eat? What lake is this? I want to see the picnicing flathead too. I'm braving the waves in my yak tomorrow.
