So, last spring and summer it was about the endless rain that we had. Now, this year, it's about the wind? I guess next year we'll have to deal with volcanic eruptions or swarms of locust or boils bang

Just a little rant, nothing more welcome

I'm so sick of this dam wind. Just a couple of hours ago the wife and I went to walmart to get a few things and not really thinking about the wind I opened my door at just the right (wrong) time to catch a huge wind gust. It bent my fender at just the same place I had repaired just over a month ago and pulled the hinge back enough to wedge the door behind the fender. I didn't have a hard time getting the door closed but once I did, I couldn't get it open again. Just got back from Caliber where they pulled the fender out and try to knock the hinge back in alittle. At least now I can open and close my door. Not to mention this wind was blown off about 1/4 of my shingles off the southside of my roof. I feel like I'm back in Amarillo.

Thunderbolt, it reminds me of fishing Lake Meredith. As you know, this would be a good day.

I am sure I will be able to meet everyone on this forum when the wind does stop because I think all of us are going crazy waiting for the wind to stop so we can get our boats on the water.

I live on Limestone and have never seen sustained wind like this. I visited with a friend around the point from me who's property is being pounded with this SE wind and he said he has been here since the lake filled in 1979 and he's has never seen wind like we've had this year. And Dang it, I finally found the fish just before this last wind event and I'll bet you that they won't still be there after the wind does lay.

ditto on the wind. I don't remember when we had so many days of nonstop wind. I finally got sick of waiting so headed out to grapevine early today to try my luck. Maybe an hour of fishing and a few small ones before the winds were howling. Nothing worse than that feeling when you are fast idling out of a protected cove and looking across out into main lake where whitecaps are everywhere frown. My little tracker didn't let me down but to say it was a rough ride back to the boat ramp would be putting it mildly! Here is hoping winds settle down soon.

I attempted to cancel my trip for today but, nope....not a chance. I sure am glad ranger boats don't sinkwoot. I just took a look at the weather this morning and thought "I got up early for this?"coffee

On the off-chance that my customers read this: dont worry, it wont effect you much. It just makes it tougher on me (anchoring and fighting the trolling motor). And no, we are not going to sink the boat

Of course when the wind quits we will be complaining about not enough wind and how stinking hot it is.

Yeah, now that I finally have some time to fish, I look out the window & see the trees bent over & choose to stay home rather than getting swamped on LRH. Maybe it'll calm down soon.

Heat, rain, snow, sleet and cold can all be dealt with and really doesn't bother me. But, you can't do much when the wind is blowing 40 mph. Oh well, at least my wife has things for me to do around the house barf bang soap flush whip mad hung

I used to really like the wind when the girls all wore mini-skirts. The world was a better place......
